Yeah it sucks.
- Getting up 2 hours earlier every day.
- Getting on the road for on average 45 minutes per trip.
- Forced to find a free desk.
- Dealing w/idiots who squat in your reserved desks or conference rooms
- Endlessly observing co-workers schmoozing and being forced to watch many of them suck up to higher-ups (proximity bias reigns supreme).
Granted it was nice to meet up w/some who I haven't interacted with in almost 3 years. But is that worth missing the sleep, the commute, and all the other things?
Resounding no.
I admit - I lack the courage to speak up. I have too much to lose in my life to be fired over it.
