I swear - a lot of my problems in life happen when I ignore my instincts.

I've always been a fan of Brad Whitford. In Aerosmith he was always the guy I watched and listened to.

And whenever I read interviews with him, I always thought he was the guy who had really a lot more meaningful stuff to say than he let on.

But I never gave it much thought. Till now -

Holy fucking shit. This guy knows far more about life, art, music, creativity, people, etc. that really most people I work with or play music with. It's really incredible.

If I had to speculate on which team looks best this year in the World Series ...

... it'd have to be the Chicago Cubs.

Lots of run-producers, four solid starting pitchers and a pretty solid bench.

Maybe they'll win?

That being said, I'll still root for the Washington Nationals.

Summer over already.

For me it always ends September 1st.

What's really in the best interests of the American citizen?

Why - quality medical care -

Context from Nina Illingworth - who BTW, highlights somethings most Americans were likely not aware was happening on behalf of the Establishment.

Proxima Centauri b

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxima_Centauri_b

Proxima Centauri b (also called Proxima b[7][8]) is an exoplanet orbiting within the habitable zone of the red dwarf star Proxima Centauri, the closest star to the Sun.[9][10] It is located about 4.2 light-years (1.3 parsecs, 40 trillion km, or 25 trillion miles) from Earth in the constellation of Centaurus. It is the closest known exoplanet to the Solar System and the closest potentially habitable exoplanet known.

As a side note, I find it interesting how we on the planet Earth go about naming just about everything in the universe around us with something - as if it's ours to name.

That always seemed a little arrogant to me. On the other hand, maybe there's a tacit assumption that these names are merely placeholders till we actually encounter other sapient life elsewhere and it turns out they have a better and perhaps more accurate naming convention.

Part of growing up is learning things.

I had to educate my son the other day.

He said, 'Dad - you should check out clips of this show Family Guy. It's just like The Simpsons.'

I responded, 'Son, the difference between that show and The Simpsons, is that The Simpsons is actually funny.'
