Whether a government wears a conservative mask or a liberal one, the core institutional actions remain unchanged. Both consistently fund & expand an imperialist foreign policy, using military intervention & economic coercion to control global resources. Both factions support colonization, displacing indigenous populations & exploiting the Global South for example to feed domestic corporate interests. When investigating the financing of these political structures, the exact same corporate donors, defense contractors, & financial institutions funding both sides of the aisle. The rhetoric/propaganda changes, but the system continues its work uninterrupted. The primary function of this binary political system is to divide & distract the masses. By amplifying cultural wars & keeping the public locked in perpetual conflict over secondary issues, the ruling class prevents the working majority from recognizing their shared exploitation. Whenever the inherent contradictions of this capitalist & imperialist system begin to fracture,when financial inequality keeps increasing, resources dwindle, & the working class begins to organize & demand real structural change—the illusion of democratic choice is discarded. Fascism is not a sudden aberration or a political accident; it's the ultimate defence mechanism of an imperiled capitalist state. It merges corporate & state power completely, uses intense nationalism to crush internal dissent, & deploys overt authoritarian violence to protect the existing economic hierarchy."

The study exposed rats to glyphosate or one of two commercial formulations, Roundup Bioflow and Ranger Pro, continuously across three generations — starting in the womb and continuing for a full year of life. The doses spanned the European Union’s Acceptable Daily Intake, the level regulators consider safe for lifelong human exposure, up to the EU’s No Observed Adverse Effect Level, the highest dose at which no harm was supposed to occur.
By the time the third generation of rats reached one year old, roughly analogous to middle age in a human, the exposed animals were behaving differently. In a standard test of exploratory behavior called the open field test, treated rats — especially males, and especially those exposed to the branded herbicide formulations rather than glyphosate alone — spent more time hugging the walls of the test arena, moved less freely into open space, froze more often, and groomed themselves in a disorganized, fragmented way rather than the smooth head-to-tail sequence typical of an undisturbed rat. Taken together, the researchers say, these are classic markers of heightened anxiety in rodents. Male rats exposed to the commercial formulations also showed modest reductions in hind-limb grip strength, suggesting subtle effects on neuromuscular function. Memory, general motor coordination and overt neurological signs were unaffected.

Something I've realized about time.
Time is really a measure of one's experiences in life.
Oh I don't mean that in any scientific sense, but rather a metaphysical one.
True we as humans measure length of time in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, etc. And yes many of actually debated what time really is from a philosophical sense.
But I think of this way - an experience happens from one point in time, to another. In most societies, the 'time' in that sense is the starting and ending points from either duration, or within a chronological set of points (i.e. on December 14th, 2015, from 7-9 AM, someone had a big dump). But the starting and end points, don't describe what happened at all.
The time is really what took place in that experience, how painful it might have been, how relieved one may have felt when it ended.
Anyways, why I am talking shit?
Well, the more I see friends and colleagues both at work, and in the industry being 'obsoleted' by their employers, the more I'm reminded that the measure of time in one's life is truly limited. It's the experiences inside that time that really is one's life. Make the most of your choices.
