Flawed assessment? No, it's a dishonest one.

I'm talking about the establishment apologists from the Obama Administration talking about Assange and his arrest -

Fortunately the site's Editor responds appropriately -

Rhodes believes Assange is not a journalist because he has sought to “embarrass” the U.S. government. To publish journalism to “embarrass” the U.S. government is to stir chaos for the sake of garnering attention for one’s exploits. No responsible journalist would seek to “embarrass” the U.S. government when exposing abuse or corruption because that might disrupt business as usual, and the U.S. is the leader of the free world. The U.S. government must be able to maintain its influence or power or anti-democratic forces may take advantage of America’s moment of weakness.

But more importantly, the leak of the Iraq and Afghanistan war logs established - aside from revealing the deep nature of corruption and complicity to cheat and lie the establishment will go to to maintain American Hegemony - that the US Government through its military committed war crimes.

Another Earth Day ... another year wasted.

Wonder what to make of this?

Farewell Country Village

The Mrs. and I used to hang out at this place (https://www.countryvillagebothell.com/) many years ago. We checked out many restaurants, bakeries, clothing shops, drank lotsa coffee, and of course enjoyed the company of the ducks and the birds.

As time went on and we got married, we moved out of the area and thus spent less time there. Once we moved out of WA state altogether and moved back some years back, things had changed. This time we had a couple of kids in tow, and they got to enjoy not only the things we enjoyed, but the toy stores, the play areas, the playgrounds.

But still we were only there somewhat frequently. Then when CV jr arrived, we really never went much at all.

Good thing we went yesterday, as we were somewhat shocked to learn - the place was closing up.

It was Easter and normally most of their businesses are closed for the day anyways. But one shopowner was open, and she relayed the sad news. The place had been sold to a developer and they were going to tear it all down in place of squeezing in new condos and townhomes. Quite a profit they'll make, I'm sure.

Apparently the family had been trying to sell the whole thing for some 20 years, but they couldn't find  buyer who was willing to keep all the shops and things in place. And finally the family patriarch - who is in his 90's I gather - just simply could no longer keep up with the daily demands and finally gave in.

Many of the businesses have either relocated or simply gone under.

Evidently all the chickens were relocated to a sanctuary (the Mrs. and joked it was Foster Farms), but we're not sure what's going to happen to all the ducks. It was sad because it was the first time CV jr had been there, and he really got like the ducks and the pirate ship play area.

I guess one can say it's progress - for us, it's hard to see it as such. For now, we can only say thank you and farewell. It will still be open till June 1st, so check it out while you still can.

FBI => modern-day version of COINTELPRO.

Guess who's been colluding with a large multi-national corporation to defraud and endanger Americans?

Their own government.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/evidence-suggests-government-colluded-monsanto/5675129

Of course, it's not the first time.

As part of the 3rd cancer trial facing Monsanto (now owned by Bayer AG), new emails were released that showed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials may have colluded with Monsanto to help slow the release of the dangers of the pesticide from the public. According to the documents and testimony, Monsanto apparently asked the government agency to slow down their safety review of the company’s top-selling herbicide, RoundUp. According to the documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, not only did the government agree to slow the safety review, EPA officials also helped the company by giving them consistent updates.

This is why crapitalism doesn't work for the vast majority of people, but rather the few wealthy and powerfully connected who are able to manipulate the system of government to further increase said wealth and power.

Those objections to Sanders started long ago ... like 1981.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/poisoned-press-the-original-plot-to-stop-bernie-sanders/5674869

And guess from which side of the establishment ...

Exposure and realignment

For almost six months, theories circulated about who was behind the weekly slander sheet. It had to be someone close to city affairs, in fact someone who had mourned with the Democrats on election night. Close analysis of Flea Press content revealed attendance at budget meetings and other city functions, along with deep contempt for neighborhood groups and the local press.
But few knew the truth. That is, until a paste-up of page two was left behind on a copier only blocks from City Hall.
At first pollster Vincent Naramore denied having left the page. “Well, did anyone see me do it,” he snapped when confronted. But absolute denial eventually became “I can’t remember” making copies on the day in question. And anyway, the Vanguard Press had the document.

Naramore had good reasons to avoid exposure. A math professor at St. Michael’s College in Colchester as well as a well-known pollster, he was also a past chairman of the city Democratic Committee. Beyond that, he frequently attended morning coffee gatherings at Nectar’s restaurant with local party insiders, including the ex-mayor, and the current City Clerk and Treasurer. Another frequent Nectar’s attendee was Brian Burns, former lieutenant governor whose brother was on the council and possible Sanders challenger in the next election for mayor.
And there was more. Naramore’s sister-in-law worked in the City Clerk’s Office. Naramore himself had accompanied Mayor Paquette on an election-day tour of city polling places. But he was neither a pollster nor an adviser to Paquette at the time, he claimed, “just a close friend.”

After Naramore’s exposure as editor, the Flea Press immediately vanished, never to return. But the poisonous atmosphere it had helped to create lingered on, in City Hall and beyond. Through most of 1981, Sanders had to endure working with hostile staff, including two of Naramore’s close friends (and probable co-conspirators), City Treasurer Austin and City Clerk Wagner.

Some people just seem to always be on the right side of things.

Typically it's those that are honest and have some degree of integrity about doing the right thing.

Case in point - the late Robert Parry (RIP). Amazing how he got this right when it came out, and still today many in the establishment media (no surprise) still get this wrong.

Who objects to Sanders the most? Often times, it's the wealthy and powerful.

https://fair.org/home/maybe-rich-liberals-dont-hate-sanders-because-they-fear-he-cant-win-but-because-theyre-rich/

For the wealthy, ideology simply doesn’t exist. No, they’re just Very Concerned about fielding the Best Candidate.
Because it would be unseemly to suggest a group of super-rich hedge fund managers, Hollywood producers and CEOs would dislike a candidate who has made a career out of promising to expropriate the bulk of their wealth, we get a faux pragmatism argument. But polls show Sanders defeating Trump with numbers comparable to any other declared candidate—a fact the New York Times never bothers to mention, letting the idea go unchallenged that “socialist” (!!) Sanders is an electoral liability. The simpler, less altruistic motive is simply never entertained.

Glad to see one victory over the metoo idiocy.

Hmm, based on facts, and not you know ... making up shit.

Quote of the day - 04-12-2019.

Craig Murray (https://www.globalresearch.ca/chelsea-julian-jail-history-trembles/5674294)

To support the persecution of Assange in these circumstances is to support absolute state censorship of the internet. It is to support the claim that any journalist who receives and publishes official material which indicates US government wrongdoing, can be punished for its publication. Furthermore this US claim involves an astonishing boost to universal jurisdiction. Assange was nowhere near the USA when he published the documents, but nonetheless US courts are willing to claim jurisdiction. This is a threat to press and internet freedom everywhere.
These are scary times. But those may also be the most inspiring of times.

I was in Canada when Assange was arrested.

It never fails to amaze me the levels of falsehoods perpetuated by the establishment media. There was one so-called reporter on CTV going on and on about with a lie about Assange, Trump and Russia - incredible.

But like I said on a YT channel before it happened - the whole point of this action is to silence anyone like Assange or Wikileaks into not reporting on the crimes committed by the establishment against the rest of society.

I find it also interesting that out of all the politicians running for US President, only one had the courage to really speak about the reality of the Assange arrest -

2019-04-07

Not sure I completely agree with the byline on this article ....

... but it's otherwise spot on.

You see, I believe the establishment media doesn't give a rat's ass about getting anything right. Because anything that gets people's attention results in sales, and that's now their primary goal is - to sell and make profits.

This should be no surprise - all major establishment media outlets are owned by large multi-national vertical- and horizontal corporations.

Habs out of the playoffs again.

Well, at least it was a better season than the last one.

But still, it's been over 25 years since the last Championship.

Oh no! Not again.

This is the 2nd time a post I'm trying to make at the station in real time failed.

Once again I had to send the picture to my email account, then access the picture from a desktop computer as opposed to simply publishing directly from my phone.

It does make me wonder if the train folks are blocking my Internet access at the station itself?

Anyways -  below is the original post -
