I told myself that I'd be more proactive in completing songs.
To this point, I found a book where I challenged myself to write a song per chapter - which would work out to around 10 songs.
But somehow - what w/the drama both at home and under threat of firing if not physically showing up to the office - it's fallen by the wayside.
Actually the writing isn't the hard part. It's the thinking and focusing.
I mean, I already have music for a couple of songs lined up. Just need to work out the sequencing of the words relative to the reading of each chapter in the book - that's the hard part.
That, and writing it all - my hands cramp up as I get older.
It's easier when you don't have to think ahead to other things - that makes it easier to focus on a song because one is hungry and driven.
But we'll see what I can do. I have to remind myself that it's all about keeping moving forward - bit by bit.
