Joe Rogan's effective endorsement of Bernie Sanders is significant for 2 reasons. It's an effective passing of a test of whether Sanders' progressive policies can attract the support of

1) potential independent or non-participatory individuals who would otherwise not vote.

2) voters who supported Trump, but would've supported Sanders in 2016 if he had been on the ballot.

This ticks off centrists and right-wingers who are otherwise be scared shitless that such endorsement confirms that Sanders can reach a block of voters these groups have failed to attract.
