I read on a website how some person (okay like a corporation) implied that groups advocating for such measures should just give up.
Typical stupidity.
If anything, the opposite is true.
Given the overwhelming financial odds (corporations dumping in wads of cash to placate enough people with misinformation to vote against it; or simply not care), the fact that the initiative was short 800 or so votes, tells me they need to fight on and continue.
It's the same in Washington and California.
