Canada and its 'royal' past.

I have nothing against them personally. I am sure they're no different than anyone else.

But that is really the point - they ARE no different than anyone else, so why treat them differently?

Why courtsey and bow and pay them a high sum of taxes simply because their family held a piece of metal and jewels around their heads and claim they decended from high above? There is respecting the past, and then there's leaving it where it belongs - in the past.

Other countries have moved forward from royalty, why can't we?
