Does the global establishment need Trump, now that they've re-secured control of the US Government?

After all, the 2016 US Presidential Election was truly about one thing - ensuring the left-wing don't get in power (i.e. Bernie Sanders). If they don't get Option A (Clinton), well at least they have Option B (Trump).

Now that's been done, is Option B needed now?
