Someone yesterday asked me why I stay.
Apart from my instinctive answer ('It pays') ... I did have to think about it some before responding.
I said that the dream I had about the company I worked in still exists, as naive as it sounds. I still believe in the potential and where and what I think I can offer and do.
The challenge - as it's been for the last few years - is finding a way to get there.
For me the journey is nice, and as long as you are getting there and moving towards it, you're never a failure.
But let's be clear - it's about getting there.

This time it'll be a little longer than normal. We'll see how well things go. After all, it does apparently keep me employed.
