So asserts Ted Rall.

"The U.S. accounts for less than 5% of the world’s population. We account for 37%
of military spending worldwide, equal to the next seven countries
(China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Kingdom, India, France, Japan)
combined. (And the U.S. sells a lot of hardware to most of those countries.)"

Bravery and courage can be very dangerous in this day and age.
After all, look what Wikileaks has done -
"In the U.S. government’s continued legal pursuit of WikiLeaks, there is much more at stake than what happens to Julian Assange. There are principles of press freedoms and the public’s right to know. By publishing documents revealing evidence of U.S. war crimes, emails relevant to the U.S. presidential election and proof of CIA malfeasance, Assange did what journalists are supposed to do – inform the people about newsworthy topics and reveal abuses that powerful forces want concealed."
What has it cost Assange?
"Nearly five years ago, Ecuador granted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange political asylum at its London embassy. The original purpose of the asylum was to avoid extradition to the United States. Two years earlier, Swedish authorities had launched an investigation of Assange for sexual assault. Sweden has now dropped that investigation."

'The Resistance' => cash grab
Count me out.
You won't get so much as a penny from me.
Your so-called resistance is about what - getting rid of Trump? What will that really accomplish?
Honestly, I'm not one to want to make a bad situation (one I didn't create - Hillary Clinton supporters did that) worse.
If you really want to change things - it's time to clean up the Democratic Party by removing all the money interests.

- Pence would take over
- Lots of dough flowing into various coffers, including those of the Democratic Party from people who otherwise need the money but will be duped.

2016-2017 T-Birds Season ends.
The end result wasn't what they wanted - it will be a learning experience.
The team had a great season, being one of only four teams to make it to the Memorial Cup along with their first WHL Championship. For these things, the boys should be proud.
I am proud of them.

Update - looks like the link is gone now. Oh well.

This time it'll be a little longer than normal. We'll see how well things go. After all, it does apparently keep me employed.
