Trial by ordeal was an ancient judicial practice by which the guilt or innocence of the accused was determined by subjecting them to an unpleasant, usually dangerous experience. Classically, the test was one of life or death and the proof of innocence was survival. So, as you might have guessed, I seem to be posting a lot more.

No nothing groundbreaking or earth-shattering, but not trying to be too trivial either.

The reason?

Well ... you see, in the last couple of years I have managed to increase my blogging considerably. Last year I tried to 'take it easy' and post in a different way, only for it to be largely a disaster. Maybe I didn't give it enough time or patience, or maybe I'm just old fashioned (blogging after all is so 2005), but I went back to posting as I found things or had something interesting to say.

Call me obssessive-compulsive (1-2-3-4-5! 1-2-3-4-5!) but I guess even after all this time I still feel the need to top last year's number - hey I guess I'm really an American after all!

Anyways, back to what I was saying -

I did a little math, and found that publishing ~25 posts a month, would help me exceed last year's numbers (how I'll top that next year, I'll figure out later).

So we'll see if I hit that. It worked (barely) in January - let's see how February goes.

Today at dinner she joked that she married a non-white guy (yours truly) to increase her street creds among the liberals.

Got a PC back - back online.

Thanks for some folks at work who took pity on me and managed to build out a PC from spare parts. New motherboard, new RAM, new SSD.

No longer PC-less, at least for now.

Ok - so they messed up one play.

No need to get on their case.

Yes, they should've just handed it off to Lynch to run it in from the 2 yard line.

But they are still a good team. They had a great season. And, given that they won last year and - came so close this time around - the odds are they'll do well next year.

RIP Sass Jordan.

A Canadian rock lass with class. A great singer and songwriter who will be greatly missed.  Her music will live on.
