Where are all the White Feminists in the West here?

The answer is, it doesn't arouse any passion like the trauma porn that passes for entertainment here in the West.

https://breakthroughnews.org/2026/09/02/the-uss-lincolns-leisure-trip-to-thailand-a-port-call-of-us-neocolonialism-and-femicide/

The arrival of the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) for a “leisure trip” in Thailand before returning to its campaign of destruction against the people of West Asia demands immediate interrogation and opposition. For us Thai people, and those in sites of American plunder across the globe, this a rattling of the US’ cold war colonial chains on its most loyal lap dog, while conducting a war of aggression in Iran and the ongoing genocide in Palestine. In allowing the USS Lincoln to dock, the Thai ruling elites are once again facilitating a system of imperial violence that extends far beyond Southeast Asian borders, a system which in our case, is predicated on sexual violence and femicide.

A succinct and horrific summary of the links between crapitalism and the so-called 'world's oldest profession', that only confirms why neither should exist.

And a word of warning, don't trust anyone who equates 'sex' with 'work'.

The Wonderful World of American Money.

Oh, not for you and me.

For a segment of the the rich and powerful, that is.

Something I've realized about time.

Time is really a measure of one's experiences in life.

Oh I don't mean that in any scientific sense, but rather a metaphysical one.

True we as humans measure length of time in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, etc. And yes many of actually debated what time really is from a philosophical sense.

But I think of this way - an experience happens from one point in time, to another. In most societies, the 'time' in that sense is the starting and ending points from either duration, or within a chronological set of points (i.e. on December 14th, 2015, from 7-9 AM, someone had a big dump). But the starting and end points, don't describe what happened at all.

The time is really what took place in that experience, how painful it might have been, how relieved one may have felt when it ended.

Anyways, why I am talking shit?

Well, the more I see friends and colleagues both at work, and in the industry being 'obsoleted' by their employers, the more I'm reminded that the measure of time in one's life is truly limited. It's the experiences inside that time that really is one's life. Make the most of your choices.

Farewell Peter Cullen.

Not only was he the voice of Optimus Prime, but did probably the most famous radio voiceover in my home town (where was from also).

The Nepal Floods - what was the cause?

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-glacial-collapse-likely-caused-the-nepal-disaster-and-why-climate-change-will-make-these-events-more-likely/

What caused the Nepal disaster—and why climate change could make these events more likely

The mountain in question is Langtang Lirung, part of the Himalayas. This mountain, which is the 99th highest in the world, is nestled in the Langtang Valley, colloquially known as the “Valley of Glaciers.” Material from Langtang Lirung likely fell into the Lende Khola river on the border of Nepal and Tibet. Altogether, the event affected rivers more than 100 kilometers (62 miles) away, according to Reuters.

The Roots of Capitalism: Slavery and the Sugar Trade.

https://thetricontinental.org/study-sugar-and-slavery/

This is very painful to read, but necessary to always remember. Especially in those times when people (in particular, white people) tend to saw issues in society can be resolved with better 'character'.

The common denominator in both of these stories.

Emphasis mine.

Dollar System In Crisis: The Real Reason The US Bailed Out Japan

In reference to Japan, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declared, “We will do whatever it takes to support them in a way that helps the American economy, the American taxpayer, stabilizes the global economy”.

When Bessent said the “global economy”, he really meant the dollar-based international financial system, which he is dedicated to uphold.

It is worth emphasizing that Bessent is a former hedge fund manager from Wall Street. He worked for years with billionaire oligarch George Soros, specializing in currency speculation. Together they “broke the Bank of England”, shorting the British pound in a trade that made Soros more than $1 billion.

Bessent is part of a class of extremely rich plutocrats. Just how much wealth he has is not clear. He has been widely reported to be a billionaire, although this has been disputed. At the very least, he has hundreds of millions of dollars of wealth.

Regardless, the point is that Bessent has a vested economic interest in propping up the dollar-based financial system that has enriched oligarchs like him. And Japan has helped to maintain this system.

China says it opposes US economic warfare against Iran

Unilateral sanctions do not resolve anything and instead escalate tensions. All parties should act rationally and avoid taking any measures that could further intensify conflict and impact global economic development and financial stability, Lin Jian, official spokesperson of China’s foreign ministry said, in a press conference on Monday, August 24.

“China will do whatever is necessary to protect its interests” in Iran, Lin said.

US President Donald Trump announced last week the launch of an “economic D-Day” to isolate Iran and force its government to give up its nuclear program and control over the Strait of Hormuz.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has threatened strong secondary sanctions on all countries that would fail to comply with the US sanctions and retain their economic ties with Iran.

The Climate Endgame - has it arrived?

Pretty impressive feat for a bank - a market cap of close to a trillion dollars, and still firing people.

A great crapitalist two-fer - yay!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/layoffs-at-jpmorgan-hit-highest-level-since-2015/ar-AA2aAOHR

With consumers in solid shape, investors piling into stock market bets, companies calling on investment bankers, and spenders paying up for credit card perks, the firm notched record revenue in its three major divisions last quarter. The market is thrilled: JPMorgan’s stock has hit 17 new all-time highs this year.

The bank is still laying off hundreds of employees.

The country’s largest lender filed six layoff notices with regulators between February and July, impacting 774 employees in Texas, New Jersey, and California.

It’s the highest total since 2015, according to an analysis of public records by WARN Database. That year, JPMorgan’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filings, or WARN notices, showed 1,040 employees laid off as the bank retooled its branch strategy and looked to cut costs. JPMorgan also laid off employees throughout 2025.

Did I mention that market cap thing already?

New GMO Alert: Biotech Joins the Battle Against Mosquitoes

From their LinkedIn lead - "the real story is more complex. Bioengineered mosquitoes raise questions about how quickly genetic engineering is moving into environments and ecosystems - setting off ecosystem changes that can’t be undone."

New term - bumholery.

To describe or repeat a narrative devoid of facts and evidence - beyond the point of stupidity.

I got this from this video -

Warning - the acts are horrific, but the outcomes continue to defy sanity.

‘Utter Devastation’: Lala Turns Hawaiʻi Upside Down, Spares Some

Even as the hurricane settled into a tropical storm, it bore down across the island chain, hitting rural Big Island harder than other areas.

Oh, and how and why?

How Is Climate Change Shaping Tropical Storm Lala?

Warmer ocean temperatures play a role in the strength of storms.

Hurricanes get their energy from convection, or latent heat. “When you go from a high-energy state of vapor to a lower energy state of liquid, you release heat, and that heat is what fuels hurricanes,” she said. “With climate change, you have warmer oceans, and therefore the potential to get stronger storms.”

Three of the five named storms that have made landfall in Hawai‘i over the last 67 years — Hurricane Dot in 1959, Hurricane Iniki in 1992, Tropical Storm Iselle in 2014, Tropical Storm Darby in 2016 and Tropical Storm Olivia in 2018 — have occurred in the last decade. Climate modeling done in 2016 predicted a significant rise in the number of hurricanes near Hawaiʻi in the coming decades.
