That is, he's in the race solely to give Clinton the 2016 US Presidential Election win.
Think I'm off base? Well clearly they know each other.
Gawker thought so some time ago, but I don't find all of their arguments valid.
Just search for basically anything he's said within the last five years. It's not even right-wing anymore, just plain crazy. I'd say it's to the point where it's almost a caricature of what a fascist or right-winger should be. It's so fucking nutty, even the de-facto corporate establishment (housed in the US Republican Party) doesn't actually want him running.
How does this work for Hillary Clinton?
Simple. In a race between someone who's made a lot of stupid decisions but appears sane, versus someone who demonstrates some real mental problems, most voters will likely go with the former over the latter. Because they know in their hearts - if they vote for the nutcase, all chaos would follow.
(Of course in the interests of being contrarian, take a look at this link and see if you can figure who the nut case really is.)
I think this is what the Clinton campaign is counting on. So what's the problem?
Bernie Sanders, that's what.
If Clinton appears sane next to Trump, then Sanders appears quite intelligent and determined compared to Clinton. That's what Clinton really fears - because all her stuff is, well scripted. While Sanders (like Trump) pretty much says what comes to mind. Of course Sanders does offer a lot more sensible and pragmatic solutions to problems that affect all Americans, compared to Clinton who really just recites off of the establishment script.
Still think I'm off base?
Watch closely. Watch the whole 'No Trump' movement and watch and see if it aligns to Clinton before the 2016 US Democratic Party Convention. I could be wrong
I wish I really am. Sadly, I have a feeling I'm not.
